Innsbruck is one of Europe’s oldest and most beautiful ski centers. The area has some 200 ski trails covering 500 kilometers (310 miles) and is perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers. It’s located three miles from the airport and six ski areas are within one hour of the city.

The resorts around Innsbruck have slopes with both northern and southern exposure and most trails are above the tree line, which affords incredible views and unimpeded skiing.

Kitzbühel, Austria Ski Trip – The Tyrolean Vacation Experience

Kitzbühel is easy to get to by car, bus, and train. If you stay in a hotel in town, an automobile isn’t really necessary since there are free buses and most things are centrally located.

The resort has four main mountains: the Hahnenkamm, Kitzbüheler Horn, Bichlalm, and Jochbert-Pass Thurn. There are numerous mountain peaks that are interconnected by 60 lifts, including five cable cars, a new bubble gondola, a new high-speed quad, 28 chair lifts, and 27 ski tows. This system of lifts provides access to over 160 kilometers (100 miles) of groomed trails.

St. Anton, Austria Ski Trip – The “Best of the Alps”

St. Anton is a favorite for those in the know and draws skiers from every walk of life from beginners to advanced, as well as sports buffs of all ages.
